Do I have to be on a specific network?

Mobile Sentry is completely operator independent so it doesn't matter which mobile phone operator that you use, whether you have a contract or pay-as-you-go phone.


Which phones do you support?

Currently the Mobile Sentry application has been built for phones that use the Symbian, Android, and Blackberry operating systems. For a complete list please see our Compatibility List for up to date information.


How much does it cost?

The Mobile Sentry application and service is billed at a monthly fee of £5.99, this gives the user unrestricted access to their web based control panel, unlimited support via our online helpdesk and a one off set of 15 location update credits. Multiple user discounts apply.

We have recently introduced a free limited functionality option allowing you to see how Mobile Sentry works without having to purchase. Simply register on the website and follow the instructions from your control panel to add a new phone. If you would like to use all our Mobile Sentry features simply purchase a licence from our store and we will upgrade your account.


What is a location credit?

Mobile Sentry is charged by third party companies to send the special messages from the website to the mobile phone. This means that every time a user presses "request location" button from the website we get charged. The location credit system means that all users are given a set of 15 credits when they sign up. A GPS update search is charged at 1 credit.


What is the update period?

A Mobile Sentry enabled phone will update the website with call and SMS logs as well as GPS location information at a predefined time period. The default value is every 60 mins which means that hourly the website will show updated call logs and location information. If you require more immediate GPS location then you can update immediately by using a credit.


How accurate is the GPS location?

Mobile Sentry GPS service will only work on phones that are enabled for GPS already. It is usually accurate within 10 meters for mobile phones in Europe and the U.K.


If it goes wrong can someone help me?

Mobile Sentry is dedicated to providing a robust system for our clients, we have a support desk that can be reached via the Mobile Sentry website. All support requests should be logged through the help desk and we will call or email you back once an engineer has examined your query. We will endeavour to reply to your query within 3 working hours.


What happens if my child uninstalls the Mobile Sentry application from their phone?

From your Mobile Sentry Control panel you can request an email alert to be sent should the website detect that the application is no longer running on the mobile phone.
N.B: Please note however that if the phone is out of signal a false alert could be generated. If you receive an email stating that the website cannot contact the mobile phone please check the mobile phone to see if the application is still installed.


How do I reinstall the application?

Once your application has been activated, if your application gets removed from the mobile phone, you simply need to go to download page, get the link, install the application and re-enter your control panel credentials.
